What we sell

TLX Group LLC supplies chemical reference materials to laboratories, research institutions and qualified researchers. Every item in the catalogue is sold as a research material and nothing else.

Our products are not drugs, dietary supplements, foods, cosmetics or medical devices. They have not been approved or evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration or by any comparable authority in any other country.

Prohibited uses

Materials purchased from us must not be used, and must not be resold or supplied for use:

• in or on humans, for any purpose, by any route
• in or on animals outside a properly authorised research setting
• as a food, beverage, supplement or cosmetic ingredient
• in the diagnosis, treatment, cure, mitigation or prevention of any disease or condition
• in any manner prohibited by applicable law

Repackaging, relabelling or reselling our materials for human or veterinary consumption is expressly prohibited and ends your right to purchase from us.

What you are confirming when you order

By placing an order you confirm that:

• you are at least 21 years of age and legally able to enter into a contract
• you are a qualified researcher, or are purchasing on behalf of a research institution or a commercial entity engaged in research
• you will use the material only for laboratory research, and only in a setting equipped for handling research chemicals
• you are responsible for the safe handling, storage, labelling and disposal of the material
• you are responsible for compliance with every law and regulation that applies to you, including any licence or registration your jurisdiction requires

What a certificate of analysis does and does not tell you

Every lot we sell carries a certificate of analysis from an independent laboratory. A certificate reports what that laboratory measured on that specific lot: identity, purity, mass and the date of analysis.

A certificate is not a safety assessment. It says nothing about how a material behaves in a biological system, and it is not evidence that a material is safe or suitable for any application. Purity is a measure of composition, not of fitness for a purpose.

Certificates apply only to the lot they name. Results from one lot must not be assumed to hold for another.

No advice

Nothing on this site is medical, veterinary, scientific or legal advice. We do not describe effects, outcomes, dosing or applications, and we cannot advise on experimental design. If you need that guidance, it has to come from someone qualified to give it, with access to the details of your work.

Handling and safety

Assume every material we ship requires the precautions appropriate to an uncharacterised research chemical: appropriate personal protective equipment, containment suited to the material, and disposal through a licensed waste stream. Storage conditions given on a product page describe how to preserve the material's stated properties — they are not a safety classification.

Enforcement

We may refuse, cancel or limit any order, and may decline to supply any customer, where we believe material is intended for a prohibited use. Where an order has already shipped, we may report the matter to the relevant authority.
